Custody In-Reach

The VIP offers both a Custody in Reach Service and an Appropriate Adult Service.

The custody in reach service aims to meet and help young people aged between 11 – 25 years old. These young people will be either at risk or will be involved in serious youth violence and would have been arrested for an offence and in the custody of the Police.

We believe that meeting young people in this environment and at this time is incredibly important, as this experience can be a genuine reachable moment. This usually is the point where a young person is most open to considering the right intervention that will help them make positive changes in their lives.
